STD and Local at same rate by Reliance
Reliance Communications rolled out a Simply Reliance plan on its CDMA and GSM networks yesterday with Anil Ambani, chairperson, Reliance Communications, calling it a, “game changing move” as it has a single rate for all local and STD calls to any mobile or landline network, anytime, anywhere in India.
The plan ensures a single rate of 50 paise per minute for all local and STD calls and the rates are the same for SMSes.
Prepaid customers will have to pay for a one-time special tariff voucher of Rs 48 to enjoy lifetime validity of the plan whereas postpaid users can benefit from the plan for a monthly subscription fee of Rs 99.
The company promises “seamless coverage” and “super digital voice clarity” ensuring that this would put a stop to the complaints of voice breaking during a conversation.”
Company says, “This will be supported by RCOM’s 3G-Ready network, helping coverage on major railway routes, national and state highways through mobile towers.”
It will also have access to TV channels, sports updates and websites like Youtube.
