earthquake rattles parts of Maharashtra

Tremors have been felt around the Koyna Dam, one of the biggest dams in Maharashtra.

Tremors were also felt in Kolhapur and Satara districts while minor shocks were felt in northern Mumbai suburbs.

The Met Department has confirmed that the tremors were felt at 6.34 pm.

The epicenter of the earthquake was at Koyna, and it measured 4.8 on the Richter scale.

The tremors occurred at around 6.40 p.m.

As per Information available on TV, Koyna Dam is Safe. Tremors of Earthquake were felt in many parts of Mumbai Suburbs.
