Aberdeenshire athlete Bella Bayliss is all set to take part in Ironman Florida triathlon at Panama City. This weekend, Bayliss will be trying to won her sixth win in eight years which is truly incredible.Though she has strong competitors including Nina Kraft of Germany, and Heather Gollnick of the United States, but her expectations are high.
Last month, Ironman world championships in Hawaii were disappointing for the Tarland woman as she finished last but now, she is determined to bounce back. Bella Bayliss said,
“My husband Stephen and I came straight to Panama City from Hawaii and things have been going well. We are very happy here as it has everything we need for training.”
She added,
“I feel good coming into this event. I am hungry and determined to have a great race. I made sure I recovered from Hawaii fast, both mentally and physically.”
Baylisss won the Ironman Lanzarote title two times and won Ironman UK title thrice and now she is looking for her sixth title. The Scottish woman has got a number of records to her name. Earlier this year she won the Ironman Austria race and also set a career best time of 8hr 50min 13sec. Her previous achievements include a 2.4-mile open water swim and it was followed by 112 miles of cycling and also a 26.2-mile marathon run.
