Have you ever wondered what really goes on in pawn shops?
Viewers of the cable television station truTV soon will, and one Southfield business will be prominently featured in a network television show called “Hardcore Pawn” tonight.
American Jewelry and Loan will be the subject of a two-part special at 11 and 11:30 p.m. on truTV, featuring the business owned by Les Gold of Bloomfield Hills and managed by his son, Seth. The show is a pilot for a possible new series.
Located just south of the Oakland County line, American Jewelry and Loan is being marketed by the cable television station as “the working man’s bank.”
