ruce Allen is going to replace Vinny Cerrato. Bruce Allen is announced General Manager for Redskins with immediate effect from Thursday. Bruce Allen is the son of George Allen, the legendary coach for Redskins. The appointment of Bruce Allen was announced in the backdrop of resignation of Executive Vice President Football Operations Vinny Cerrato. Cerrato bagged a bundle of criticism for his personal moves at Redskins.

Bruce Allen has at his credit serving at the same position of General Manager for Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had been General Manager at Oakland Raiders front office too. Bruce Allen is the first to be hired by Dan Snyder the owner of the franchise.

After having a number of sittings with Dan, in a statement Cerrato commented that they are agreed to have some new face at his position and he will remained thankful to Dan for the opportunities he bestowed upon me. Serving for quite a long period he expressed his disappointment for the results they managed this year.

Bruce Allen is described as the personification of a winner by Dan Snyder. Dan added that fans of the team knew the legacy Bruce follows and we know his capabilities to lead our team.

Bruce Allen has commented on the move that this is an exceptional opportunity he is conferred with for being a part of one of world’s famous franchises. He further added that he loves this responsibility and knows the meaning of being dedicated to Redskins.

Bruce Allen expressed his joy by adding that he can not wait to get on the job. Bruce Allen will have to face the coaching situation at Redskins as Jim Zorn is under discussion for his job of coach of the team. The Redskins are 4-9 on the chart and going to face New York Giants on Monday.
