Urban Meyer Steps Down as Florida Coach

In a stunning turn of events that have likely caused Jack Swarbrick* to yak in his stocking and crap in his eggnog, Urban Meyer is stepping down as head football coach of the Florida Gators.
Meyer cited health reasons as at least part of the reason for stepping down.
“I have given my heart and soul to coaching college football and mentoring young men for the last 24-plus years and I have dedicated most of my waking moments the last five years to the Gator football program,” said Meyer. “I have ignored my health for years, but recent developments have forced me to re-evaluate my priorities of faith and family. After consulting with my family, Dr. Machen, Jeremy Foley and my doctors, I believe it is in my best interest to step aside and focus on my health and family.
Meyer’s last game as coach of Florida will be on New Years Day in the Sugar Bowl against Cincinnati. Consider that one a rather obscenely comfortable lock for the Gators.
His record since coming to Gainesville? An absurd 56-10 with two National Championships (2006, 2008).
Most importantly, let’s hope Meyer’s health issues aren’t too serious.
