There once were gladiators, who’s slaves would spend hours scraping their bodies of dead skin and impurities, while the one who were a little smarter, would sell the scrapings, as face packs, to passing pilgrims, as they believed the gladiators greatness could be absorbed through the pores.
This place is called Bath, or Aquae Sulis, there you will find the evacuated Roman Baths, although the land has risen a little in the last 2,000 years.
