SRK extends twitter support to hockey players
The unpaid hockey players have found a supporter in bollywood. Superstar Shahrukh Khan has expressed his sympathy to the team members in his latest tweet on twitter.com.
"Feel awful for the Indian hockey team. To play for the country, national sport and have to ask for salary. And we complain we don’t win gold," Shahrukh tweeted.
Khan, ardent fan of the game had earlier played the role of a hockey coach in the award-winning film, Chak De India
.
The Indian hockey team had boycotted the ongoing preparation for the World Cup due to non-payment of their dues on Jan 8.
Senior members of the Indian hockey will meet the Hockey India officials in connection with the current crisis in the game on Jan 9.
