Kearney Hub

Some hostages were taken by a man who carried shotgun with him today at around 11:15 am in Kearney, Nebraska at Wells Fargo Bank. The man who is reportedly of the mid 20s age had taken around four detainee at the Wells Fargo Bank. The only demand which was raised by this gunman was to bring news cameras of the television from local station of the ABC TV.

According to the reports of a local newspaper Kearney Hub, the gunman claimed that NTV office had fired him recently and now the publicity is wanted by him on this issue. It is further reported by this newspaper that this situation of the hostages was cleared within two hours of its start when this young man walked out of the premises of the bank at around 1:30 pm, putting his hands up in the air but the gun was not with him.

Immediately he was taken into custody by the local police. Police immediately rushed to the scene as this report reached to them and the area was cordoned off by them. It is further reported by the local newspaper Kearney Hub that some police officers also took positions on the roofs of some close house to that building.

It is also reported by Kearney Hub that when the hostage situation started earlier today, near around 40 people managed to escape from the scene. Then these people were escorted by the police just to ensure that they were all innocent people and suspect was not the part of these escapees, according to the reports of Kearney Hub.
