Mark Ladwig Stands Eighth In Figure Skating

Figure skater Mark Ladwig, from the United States, secured the eighth position in the figure skating short program of the Winter Olympics that is currently being held in Vancouver. Mark Ladwig’s skating partner was Amanda Evora, and the two of them managed to score 57.86 points. The outcome of the short program has been a pretty surprising one, considering that both Mark Ladwig and Amanda Evora have been national silver medalists. In the Winter Olympics short program of figure skating, Mark Ladwig and Amanda Evora started behind eighteen of the total of twenty pairs of competitors.

This is the second time that Mark Ladwig has appeared at the Winter Olympics. However, this is still his debut in the Winter Olympics, as this is the first time that he is appearing as a contestant. The last time that he came to the Winter Olympics, in 2002, he was a volunteer. Mark Ladwig is the oldest participant in the short program of figure skating in the Winter Olympics. Along with that, he has suffered from a number of ankle injuries, thanks to the huge amount of throw triple jumps that he has had to land. Over the years, he has had to spike his calf and lacerated his shin.

The Winter Olympics figure skating short programs were all the more special for Mark Ladwig for he was not much expected to make it to the Olympics at all, leave alone secure the eighth position. According to one of the witnesses to the show, his performance was one of the most beautiful parts of the entire program, and his pairing with Amanda Evora was simply awesome.
