Cool and the Gang
Cool and the gang is an American Band created in 1964 by Robert Bell, Ronald Bell, Robert Mickens, George Brown, Dennis Thomas and Claydes Charles Smith. The band genre is Jazz, Disco, Soul and R&B. The group also has more members over the years though the main members remain the same. The group has evolved over the years and produced quality music, the sale of their albums proves this fact. However, cool and the gang gone through several phase through their music career. Initially, their band was named Jazziacs which they renamed in 1969 to cool and the gang and they released their first album “Eponymous”.
Few of their songs of their first album went far on the charts and they started gaining popularity. They produced many albums, and numerous live performances. Their most favorite albums, according to the critics and their fans are “Light of “Worlds (1974) and “Spirit of the Boogie” (1975) that contain the widely listened song Jungle Boogie. Their latest album was released in 2007 “Still Kool”. Their numbers are used by a few TV Servies (The Fresh Price) and various artists.
Their most hit numbers are Serious, Ladies Night, Summer Madness, Too Hot, Jungle Boogie, Stepping Out, Joanna, Cherish and others.
