Hyundai Equus Comes Equipped with Apple's iPad

All those who purchase the Equss, Hyundai's latest offering and reportedly the company's answer to the luxury vehicles manufactured by Lexus, will not be finding an owner's manual anywhere in the car. Instead, with the aim to be more eco-friendly, the company has equipped the model with Apple's iPad.pms_hyundai_equus02

“Who reads a 300-page manual, anyway? Instead, they'll have a gorgeous color touchscreen loaded with the manual, as well as photos of the whole Hyundai line-up", said Chief Executive for Hyundai North America, Mr. John Krafcik.

The Equus, fitted with a V8 engine, is Hyundai's latest offering. The company took the wraps off the car at the 2010 New York International Auto Show last week. It will be priced between US$50,000 and US$60,000, depending upon the model.

With the Equus, Hyundai is hoping to make a place for itself in the luxury cars market, which is currently ruled by the likes of Lexus, Mercedes- Benz and BMW.

The iPad equipped Equus, however, is reportedly a limited time offer and it will, in addition to other interesting offerings, include the car's entire user manual.
