Indonesia Earthquake Today is the latest news about the earthquake that has targeted the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. The strength of the Indonesia Earthquake Today has been gauged at 7.7 on the Richter scale. Indonesia Earthquake Today activated tsunami. A good number of people have been injured in the earthquake and some houses have also been damaged due the socks of the earthquake. According to the preliminary information at Simeulue Island about six persons have got serious injuries. The Police authorities of the island has declared that earthquake was very powerful, however, they were investigating that as to how much loss has been caused to the property and human beings due to the Indonesia Earthquake Today. No major loss to the human beings and property has yet been reported.

Two tsunamis also followed the earthquake on Teluk Dalam and Banyak Island. These tsunamis were of mild nature and were not much dangerous. These tsunamis were not anticipated cause much damage to the area. The earthquake was very strong and the people swiftly left their homes in search of some safe haven. The earthquake attacked the area which is about 125 miles away from Sumatra. The deepness of the earthquake was 19.3 miles. It hit the area at about 5.15 a.m. when the people were asleep. Initially the concerned authorities announced the degree of the earthquake at 7.8 and then relegated the degree of the earthquake to 7.7. The earthquake of Indonesia besides causing damage to the buildings and people has created a situation of chaos among the public. People are much fearful and they are afraid of the after shocks of the earthquake. Indonesia has already suffered a big human as well as property loss in the year 2004, when a strong earthquake of 9.1 was followed by a big tsunami.
